Pvt Andrew V. Finco enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 15 March 1943. He landed in France with one of the first airborne divisions with the glider troops on D-Day and fought through Holland to Belgium in the invasion. He was previous wounded two times. He had been wounded in the right arm and was sent to a hospital in England. Pvt Finco served overseas a year and a half. His cousin Pvt Billie Ceccon also served in the armed forces and they met in England while on furlough.He attended high school for 1 year and was a driver before he enlisted.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
