1st Lt Aubrey H. Rion enlisted in Fort Jackson Columbia, South Carolina on 30 June 1942.He graduated from Columbia High School and was a teacher before he enlisted. He attended Clemson University, with the goal of becoming a doctor. While at Clemson, he played quarterback.
He is remembered at the Elmwood Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
