Alfred C. Dornick Jr. graduated from Cental High School and was employed by the Wayne Pump Company.He volunteered for the Army of the United States at Camp Perry, Ohio on 27 November 1942. He was sent overseas in November 1943 and participated in the Normandy campaign and in Operation Market Garden.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
