Sgt Theo M. Wiltshire enlisted in August 1942. He trained in Camp Barkley for 14 months before he transferred to the paratroopers. He was sent overseas in January 1944 and participated in the Normandy Invasion on 6 June 1944.

The exact date on which he was reported wounded in action and therefore the location where he died, is not known.

He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, The Netherlands.
