Pvt John K. Barrett attended college and was an industrial engineer in the Time Study Division of Jones and Lamson Machine Company.He enlisted in Rutland, Vermont on 24 January 1944 and was sent overseas in August 1944.
He died from wounds he received on 3 January 1945.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
