Pvt Nevin C. Benner enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 28 April 1944 and received training at Camp Croft in Virginia and was transferred to Camp meade. Before entering the service he was a manager of the green grocery department of the A & P store on 19th street in Allentown.
