Pfc Ernest E. Fink enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 21 January 1944 and received training at Camp Wheeler, Ga., and Fort Meade, Md. He had previsouly served a three-year hitch and for a time was stationed at Indiantown Gap with a heavy artillery unit. After his discharge from the Army he was employed as an interne at the Allentown State hospital. Pfc Fink had been overseas since July.
