Pfc George Debich attended high school for 1 year and was a flame cutter.

He enlisted in Greenburg, Pennsylvania on 29 October 1942 and received his infantry training in Tennessee, Virginia and Louisiana.

Pfc Debich was initially buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 5 August 1945. He was given his final resting place on 16 December 1948.
