Sgt George W. Carsey graduated from Lancaster High School in 1935. For a number of years he was a carrier for the Old Lancaster Daily Eagle. He was employed as a foreman at the Anchor Hocking Glass plant.He enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 7 September 1943 and was sent overseas on in June 1944.
