Pfc Hendricks first worked for the WPA and then Ford Motor Company. He enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 11 April 1944.Leslie Hendricks was the stepson of Anthony Hendricks. According to a 1930 census his name was Leslie M. Greenwalt.
Les Hendricks is remembered on the memorial located in Lincoln Park, Michigan.
