2nd Lt Anderson graduated from the University of Minnesota and was employed by the Studebaker Corp.

The airplane was hit by enemy fighters just after bombs away. The right wing burst into flames and it fell off on his right wing, spinning down into the ground. It was almost completely in flames when it fell from formation. Two parachutes were observed. Six crew members were killed, three were taken prisoner.
