1st Lt Claude R. Robison Jr. was a toolmaker.He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Detroit, Michigan on 27 May 1942.
The aircraft was attacked by enemy fighters. The left wing was shot off and broke in two at the ball turret. Six crew members were killed, four were taken prisoner.
