2nd Lt Keane, a graduate of West Catholic High School, enlisted in October, 1941. He was commissioned in October, 1943 and went overseas in January. He participted in 20 missions.
He was graduated from Bombardier school at Deming, N.M., prior to which he had taken pre-flight work at the Santa Ana, California air base, and the AAF Flexible Gunnery School at Kingman, Arizona.

A/C/ 382 collided with 452 while 452 was trying to avoid an exploding A/C/. Both ships went down in flames, 12 to 15 chutes were reported.
