S/Sgt Anthony Carpentieri worked in a confection factory.He enlisted at Fort Jay, Governors Island, New York on 20 July 1942.
The picture is taken in 1943 during break while at training location. Left to right: Jean and Tony (Carpentieri) and Julie and John B. Hull. Enjoying a happy moment before the men shipped over to England.
While under fighter attack, witnesses saw the aircraft explode and while going down, colliding with aircraft 42-3265. The entire crew was killed.
His body washed ashore at Pietersbierum, the Netherlands on 14 March 1944.
