S/Sgt. John B. Hull graduated from Watervliet High school in 1934 and was formerly employed in the Blanchard Machine Tool Shop as a salesman.

He enlisted in Albany, New York on 10 September 1942.

While under fighter attack, witnesses saw the aircraft explode and while going down, colliding with aircraft 42-3265. The entire crew was killed.
