2nd Lt Morris S. Friedman graduated from Liberty High School and had completed his 3rd (Junior) year at Penn State College.

Per reports by S/Sgt Andrew Weiss, the tail gunner: Flak hit the 3 engine and there was an explosion. He was knocked unconscious but recovered consciousness while descending toward the earth in the tail section of the plane. He bailed out successfully.

Lt Friedman was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Margraten, Netherlands Block OO, Row 9, Grave 222.
