Sgt Albert F. La Baff Jr. attended a Royal Air Force Gunnery School before he joined the Air Corps of the Regular Army in June 1940 from Massachusetts.The plane was shot down by rocket fire from fighters
S/Sgt Lloyd E. Brimmer:
Do to the fact our plane was hit in the tail end. It is my belief that he was either killed outright or was injured so bad that he couldn’t bail out.
Sgt La Baff didn't leave the airplane
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
