2nd Lt Albert P. O'Steen graduated from Tome School in Port Deposit, Maryland.He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve at Bolling Field, Columbia on 16 June 1942.
The airplane was shot down by enemy fighters. Seven crew members bailed out and were taken prisoner. Three men were killed.
Lt O'Steen bailed out but was wounded badly. According to a Prisoner of War Record, he was taken prisoner and died in Stalag XI-A in Altengrabow the same day.
