2nd Lt Fred Bsharah graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1934 and was a retail manager. He enlisted at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky on 19 March 1942.

The airplane was rammed by a BF 109, flown by Uffz. Heinrich Rosner of Sonderkommando Elbe.

Two crew members survived and were taken prisoner, eight were killed.
