Pfc Richard E. Lucas was a metal worked before he volunteered for the US Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 8 August 1942.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Limey, France.
His brother-in-law, Claude Ford, is buried at Normandy American Military Cemetery.
His brother William served in the Pacific.
