Pfc Ralph L. Thomas Jr. enlisted in Baltimore, Maryland, on 23 June 1943 and received his basic infantry training in Alabama and later was transferred to the ASTP, University of Pennsylvania. He was graduated from Gilman High School.He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Limey, France.
