Edward E. Ridenour Jr. graduated from Hagerstown High school in 1939. He was employed by the C. and P. Telephone Company.He enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 1 June 1944.
He was reported wounded in action in the hip on 9 December 1944 was hospitalized in England for some time. He had returned to his unit for a short time when he was killed.
