Pfc James C. Scott graduated from high school in 1943.He enlisted shortly after graduation at Fort Benning, Georgia. After basic training he was sent to the Virginia Military Institute of tha ASTP course. When this program was closed, he was transferred to the infantry as an unlisted and was sent to Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. He was sent overseas in August 1944 and landed in France about the first of October 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Andilly, France.
