Sgt Franklin F. Hoover joined the Regular Army in Dallas, Texas on 5 July 1943.He attended attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute as part of the Class of 1946.
He was killed by mortar fire.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Limey, France.
