Pvt John D. Quigley graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the University of South.He enlisted in Vermillion, South Dakota on 1 June 1942. He was sent to Italy in June 1944.
His father, Lieutenant Colonel Q.A. Quigley was the commanding officer of an Air Force Service Group in the British Isles.
