Sgt Paul W. Haulman attended Altoona High School for two years before he joined the National Guard in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 17 February 1941 and was sent overseas in May 1943.He also participated in the Sicilian and Italian campaigns and was overseas for seventeen months.
Three of his brothers also served.
