Sgt Edward J. Liguori attended Rye Neck High School and was employed as a butcher at Blue Bird Meat Markets and Maier's Food Market.He enlisted in Fort Jay, New York on 13 April 1942. He was with the Army Air Corps for two and a half years at Moore Field in Mission, Texas. He was transferred to the Infantry in October 1944 and received training at Camp Maxey, Texas. He was sent overseas in January 1945.
