Henry E Wilcox was an airplane mechanic before he enlisted in in Los Angeles, California on 4 December 1942.He was killed by multiple shrapnel wounds, either by artillery or mortar fire.
He was initiall buried at Henri-Chapelle in a temporary grave on 21 December 1944. He was disinterred on 4 November 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 17 November 1947. He was given his final resting place on 5 August 1948.
