Pfc Raymond W. Williams worked as a carpenter before he enlisted at Fort Sill, Oklahoma on 8 March 1944.

He was riding on a tank of the 3rd Armored Division when it was hit by anti-tank fire.

Pfc Williams is remembered at the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Lincoln County, Oklahoma.
