Pvt Daniel C. Gaskell enlisted on 8 June 1943 in Seattle, Washington.

He was reported missing in action on 17 December 1944. His remains were discovered at the Frankfurt Mausoleum, Germany. This means that he was most likely taken prisoner.

He interred at Ardennes Cemeter and is commemorated on the Tablets of the Missing at the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery.
