Pfc John H. Barker enlisted in Portland, Maine on 24 May 1943.Pvt Barker died of a gunshot wound in the head.
He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 18 January 1945. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place on 14 June 1948.
