More information

Pfc Herman A. Bavaresco served as an infantryman and had been overseas since October 17, 1944. He was stationed in England since November 1 and was believed to have been in Germany only a few days before being listed as missing. His mother received a letter from him which was telling her that he had been in a house in Germany with German people and that it had been impossible for him to write sooner because they were always on the move.
Pfc Bavaresco was inducted into the service March 17, 1943 and took his basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. He attended Sacred Heart High School and was employed by the G.L.F. Feed Mill before entering service.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hamm, Luxembourg.
