Pvt Thaddeus Galantowicz was a clerk before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 23 March 1944.He was reported missing in action on 17 December 1944. His remains were later recovered and a now buried at the Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
His name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at Henri-Chapelle.
