Cpl Clyde F. Robinson graduated from Woodstock High School for 4 years and worked on a farm before he joined the National Guard in Orange, Massachusetts on 16 January 1941.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.

At the time of his death his brother Harold was serving in the Pacific. Two other brothes, Maurice and Robert, and a sister, Hilda, served in Europe.
