Pvt Homer D. Wadlow enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 18 April 1944.He was officially declared death one year and one day after he was reported missing in action. At that time his unit was fighting in the vicinity of Mouterhouse, France.
His remains have been accounted for by the U.S. Department of Defense, a rosette is placed next to his name on the Tablets of the Missing.
He is buried at the Huff Cemetery in Chloride, Iron County, Missouri.
