Pfc Roger H. Caron attended high school for two years before he enlisted in Manchester, New Hampshire on 16 September 1943.He was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
In September 1986, a French farmer found skeletal remains with U.S. Army dogtags. Identification was established by a religious medal and other items found with the remains. In August 1987, his remains were identified and the family was contacted.
Pfc Caron was buried at Saint Louis De Gonzague Cemetery in Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.
