2nd Lt Andrew D. Jamieson Jr enlisted in Detroit, Michigan on 14 July 1941. He was the only son of Andrew and Georgia Jamieson.He was married August 12, 1944 and went overseas in October, 1944. He attended Northern High School in Detroit and was graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1940. He received a master's degree in journalism at Columbia University.
