Sgt Paul Shann enlisted in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 26 August 1942.

He was reported Missing in Action while escorting prisoners of war to the rear lines.

He was declared officially dead one day and one year after he was reported Missing in Action.

He is remembered at the Turnbow Cemetery in Lewis County, Tennessee.
