2nd Lt Edwin Lewis R. Jr. attended the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (Texas A & M College) and worked in an automobile factory.He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in San Antonio, Texas on 3 January 1942.
His father was born in Canada.
The aircraft was attacked by enemy fighters. The entire crew of ten men was killed.
