1st Lt Noah T. Hughes graduated from Ardmore High School and from Oklahoma A&M College in 1941.He enlisted on 17 June 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
After having left the target, Kiel, Germany, flightnumber 42-30118 crashed into the Kiel Bay (Baltic Sea) with the loss of all onboard. It is unclear if this was due to flak or enemy fighters. It is also believed that the aircraft of 1st Lt Noah T. Hughes collided in midair with "colleague", flightnumber 42-29763.
