2nd Lt William H. Mac Donald, Jr attended Rutgers University and Pratt Institute.He enlisted in January 1942 and was sent overseas in April 1943.
B-17F 42-29763, piloted by 1st Lt Charles Rubin on the 13 June 1943, was seen over Kiel, Germany and was last sighted between 34°To 55°N & 08°To 10°E. On this mission a great deal of enemy opposition was encountered, causing 10 aircraft of this unit to be lost.
Lt Mac Donald is memorialized at the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing Cemetery in Ewing, New Jersey
