T/Sgt Thomas F. Healey attended Rhode Island School of Design. He was employed by the Rhode Island Department of Public Work.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 4 March 1942.
On this mission a great deal of enemy opposition was encountered (over 100 enemy aircraft) causing 10 aircraft of his unit to be lost.

He was seen helping the ball turret gunner out of his position, together with Mylan Zwiener but was not seen again as others parachuted out.

Four crew members survivad and wzre taken prisoner, six men were killed.
