More information
Michael D. Croker was a graduate of Westbury High School and a former auxilliary policeman. He joined the service in November 1942. He was graduated with high honors from the gunnery school at Las Vegas, Nevada, and ordered overseas in May 1943.B-17F, 42-30173 piloted by 1st Lt James D. Pearson, was last reported in the Lingen area on fire and circling with the fire spreading. The whole formation was under heavy attack from enemy fighters so damage was probably caused by them. No chutes were observed and final disposition of the crew is unknown.
