Pvt Thomas Flaminio attended high school for 2 years and was a driver when he joined the National Guard in Worcester, Massachusetts on 16 January 1941. He was also called Tommaso by his family.

His brother Patsy is buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial. A square was erected in Worcester in honor of the brothers.
