Pfc Joseph G. Meyer Jr. was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company before he enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 6 May 1941. He was sent overseas in July 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
