More information

Pvt Jim J. Lovett worked on a farm.

He enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on 3 July 1943.

Four other brothers also served during the war. Charlie, upper left on the picture, Roscoe, upper right, Sam, lower left and William in the center. Jim is in the lower right.

The exact place where he was wounded in action is not known at this moment, neither are the exact circumstances. Pvt Lovett was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Cambridge. This means he must have been evacuated to England, when he was wounded, and died there in a hospital.

His brother William is buried next to him.
