Private Brown was employed by DiClemente & Volke Milling Company before he enlisted in 1942 and went overseas in January 1945.He was reported wounded in action on 10 June 1944 and was sent to an English hospital to recover. He was again reported wounded in action on 24 July 1944. After recovering, he rejoined his unit.
