Cpl Clair G. Cribbs graduated from Blairsville High School in 1941 and attended Greensburg Business College for 1 year. He was the manager of the Globe Theater in Latrobe.He enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 20 February 1943. He was sent overseas on 31 August 1944.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his stomach.
