Pfc George R. Bando graduated from Ramsay High School in 1942 and was a driver before he enlisted in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on 23 February 1943. Ha was sent overseas in August 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his stomach.
He is remembered at the Saint Pius X Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
