Pfc Rudy Ruzich worked on the family farm before he enlisted.He was killed trying to prevent a fellow soldier from being taken prisoner.
He is remembered at the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, Williamston County, Illinois.
His brother Tony Ruzich Jr. is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery.
